Trusted Friends structure

Members and Trusted Friends structures of the Jura Collective.

Policy accepted at the Jura Meeting on 3rd June 2007.

The ‘Trusted Friends’ structure is a way of being involved at Jura, without becoming a full Member. Many people want to volunteer some time for Jura, but not every week, and not coming to every meeting. These people may want to be Trusted Friends. They won’t have as many rights and responsibilities as collective Members, but they will have more rights and responsibilities than people who are just part of the broader Jura community. You can become a Trusted Friend by fulfilling the criteria below, and then being voted in as a Trusted Friend by the Jura collective. You can become a Member through the same process. People can move between being a Member and being a Trusted Friend by fulfilling the relevant criteria and having their new status confirmed by a vote of the Jura collective. The rules below are flexible and can be changed for individual people by a vote of the collective. For example, a Member can take a leave of absence from the collective, if negotiated with and agreed on by the collective.
